Durrës, Vlorë, Sarandë, or Ksamil?
Which destination fits your trip?
- Choose Durrës when you want the simplest short coast break from Tirana, an easy first or last night near the capital, or a practical beach stop without committing to the south.
- Choose Vlorë when you want a larger coastal base and a starting point for the road toward the Albanian Riviera. It works well when the trip is about combining a city stay with coastal drives.
- Choose Sarandë when the southern Riviera is the main destination and you are comfortable planning a longer door-to-door journey from Tirana. It is a better base than a rushed same-day transfer.
- Choose Ksamil when beaches and a visit around Butrint are the priority. Treat it as a southern itinerary, and allow more flexibility in the busy summer season rather than planning a tight connection.
